With sustainability, Danton help
Sustainability is an important part of our business operations. We have several environmental, social and governance initiatives aligned with the UN sustainable development goals. Danton is always working towards improving our sustainability efforts and sharing this journey with our clients.
How we’re working towards a more sustainable business:
Gender equality: As a female-founded family business, our operations are set up to support and elevate gender equality in the workplace. From family-friendly, flexible hours to having an associate model, we support women in their careers with Danton. We also support remote working when needed by our employees.
Decent work and economic growth: These are central values to Danton HR and key areas where we support our clients. For our employees, we pay competitive rates and support them with their wider life challenges
Reduced inequalities: Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training promotes reduced inequalities across West Midlands businesses. We also support charities in this area including the Harry Bennett Foundation which helps people through sport.
Climate action: We support public transport use to the office and training facilities, including for our employees. As we look for bigger office and training space, public transport is a key consideration along with the energy rating of the building.
At the moment, we have a comprehensive recycling programme for the office to reduce waste. We only print when necessary and are looking at local environmental printers.
We have invested in the upcycling of office furniture for our office and training facility fit-out. All of our lighting is energy efficient.
Future Plans:
Impact reports: We are building towards creating annual impact reports to monitor and improve our efforts.
Social initiatives: Danton is working on more ways to give back to the community through supporting local charities, CICs and other initiatives.
We currently use local suppliers for our business needs and will continue to look for sustainable options within the local economy to support other businesses.
Supply chain: As an HR Consultancy, we are in a unique position to create a positive impact with our client partners. Through championing training and development, we can support our clients with their own sustainability journey.
