Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Employers now have a duty to do all they can to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. For businesses, this means that there is a significant financial and reputational risk if they don’t do everything in their power to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

With awards from the employment tribunal already high, a judge can give a 25% uplift if they find that an employer hasn’t done everything reasonable to prevent sexual harassment.

The good news is that there are actions every manager and employer can take to actively prevent incidents of sexual harassment.

Comprehensive training is one of the best ways that you can reduce the risk in your business and be compliant with the European Court of Human Rights technical guidance.

Danton’s half-day training course will cover:

  • How to conduct a risk-assessment to discover where your business has liabilities

  • What constitutes as sexual harassment and what doesn’t

  • How to spot the signs of sexual harassment in the workplace

  • What you need to consider around contractors and third-parties

  • Preventative actions every employer can take

  • What you need to do when an employee reports sexual harassment.

At the end of the session, you will:

  • Have a clear understanding of the ECHR technical guidance and how it applies to your business

  • Have an action plan to put in place within the business

  • Know the risks and how to mitigate them.

This is essential training for every manager and employer to help protect the business from the negative outcomes of sexual harassment at work.

What to expect:

We use a mix of group discussions, interactive learning and presentations to deliver the training. It’s an active session and while you will be taking lots of notes, you’ll also be an active participant in the learning.

This course is delivered in our training room in Bromsgrove and will include all materials, plus refreshments throughout the day.

We can offer in-house training within the region, please get in touch to find out more.
